Thanks to Contributors - Kiwanis Park

Here's a hearty note of thanks and appreciation to all the local contractors and suppliers who donated in kind labor or materials to the recent renovations at Kiwanis Park. Their generosity saved the Town real money at a time when resources are tight.

Some of these folks are parents who wanted to contribute to a playground their kids enjoy. One has been involved with Kiwanis Park since its inception, is an active Kiwanis Club member and takes a great personal interest in the park. All of them care about their town and took steps to support the park and the families who use it.

Please consider thanking these community members by remembering their services when you have a project in mind.

Leslie Booker of Booker Garden Design - did the final landscaping, designed the planting plan and selected the plants, built the round walnut benches, cedar patio, donated a metal retaining ring and reduced labor costs

Jeff Gannon of Green Door Design and Build - donated cedar log for the Clyde Critter, installed the shade sails, provided materials at a discount, didn't charge for his personal labor

Tom Glendinning - did the grading, created the boulder play area, cleared the fence line, and installed the sod, donated labor

Lonnie Parcell of B&L Supply - donated a pallet of black flagstone which was used for paths and around the smaller sandbox

Joe Kenlan of Joseph Kenlan Stoneworks - masonry for 2 sandboxes, some boulder work, did work at cost

Chad Haddix - carved the cedar spring rider car as a labor of love, a nominal fee will be paid

Many of these contractors had hardworking crew members; though not named here their help is greatly appreciated.

Clyde Jones' donation of his critter has a separate post here.
