ASLA Honor Award for Mary Holmes Park
I’m glad to see that the NCASLA (North Carolina Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects) has great taste in
parks. We recently received an Honor Award
for our beloved Mary Holmes Park. The
award recognized projects that “demonstrate an outstanding, imaginative and
well resolved solution.”
Our lead design firm Lappas + Havener submitted the project for the award and accepted the accolades at the NCASLA’s annual conference awards gala. I couldn’t attend the awards ceremony but I heard through the grapevine that the jury liked the following about our park:
